We are called “The Gallery” based on Ephesians 2:10, which states “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”
The name Gallery embodies a firm belief that we, as Christians, are to “display God’s awesomeness to the world.” Galleries are all about displaying the work of an artist. The aim is to promote the heart of the artist through his art. In the process, the reputation of the artist increases. Similarly, as a follower of Jesus, our lives should be like a gallery, where the work of God, is on display for the world to see. Jesus called us to “Let our light shine,” so that they when they see our actions they would give God praise. We, as followers of Jesus are not perfect, but we have made a commitment, to work towards adopting the character of Christ as our own. Jesus’ character exemplified love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, and self-control. When we accept Jesus, we are embracing His character, a character that is distinctly different than what our culture sees as normal.
We are a fun group whether we are playing games, hanging out, or worshipping God. We love to see new faces so check us out!
